Standard #9: Professional Learning and Ethical Practice. The teacher engages in ongoing professional learning and uses evidence to continually evaluate his/her practice, particularly the effects of his/her choices and actions on others (learners, families, other professionals, and the community), and adapts practice to meet the needs of each learner.
Artifact #1:
The artifact I have selected for this standard is a training I recently attended in September of 2017 on Eureka Math. This training demonstrates my understanding of this standard through my engagement in ongoing professional learning to further my educational experience to best meet the needs of each learner. In addition, the various evaluation tools given during the training allow me to evaluate how I may need to change my instruction to best meet my students' needs. The following email is a survey showing I completed the professional learning experience. In addition, the following form represents an example of evaluation tools I can use to change instruction based on student needs.
Artifact #2:
The following artifact demonstrates how I have used professional learning experiences and collaboration with teachers to adjust instruction to better meet the needs of a student during my RTI class based on assessments over time. The following forms were filled out based on the scores of a student from their beginning of the year baseline test to the fall benchmark test in the middle of September. This provides evidence for me to see how my instruction is helping to meet the needs of the student and what topics I need to focus more on to meet students needs. Through participating in monthly data team meetings and collaborating with the grade level teacher I adjust instruction to best meet the needs of my students to help them be successful.
Artifact #3:
Another artifact that I have recently completed is online training for TVAAS. This program has taught me various ways to look at both my future schools strategies and scores, along with my individual class and students. In addition, the program has taught me how to find my students strengths and weaknesses in order to improve my instructional strategies and practice. Below is a Case Study of just one of the certificates I completed for TVAAS.
